CONCEPT 1 - BIRD'S EYE VIEW
Summery and chic, this concept was loosely inspired by the colors of David Hockney's pool series and Malika Favre's flat graphic style. Each hero ID flies the viewers over a a quintessential summer scene where the TLC logo is cleverly integrated into the environment. It's a relaxing nod to normalcy for people watching from home during the COVID-19 pandemic.
CONCEPT 2 - TROPICAL PARADISE
TLC's show “90 Day Fiance” often brings viewers to the tropics for romance. So too, does summer. This treatment has tropical foliage growing from/animating throughout the network's in-program graphics. Plumeria and hibiscus, sprouting in reds and oranges, springing-up as exotic transitions. The TLC logo bouquet floats in front of ambient gradients — remniscent of walking on the beach at sunset, enjoying drinks on a nighttime date, and relaxing in a jungle atmosphere beneath some palms.
