Snapchat Yellow - Accelerator

This snappy ad promotes Snapchat's seed accelerator, Yellow, which provides resources, funding, and mentorship for content creators who are accepted into the program. One of the initial challenges of this ad was that there was no pre-existing content or imagery to work with since Yellow was entirely new at the time. Designed by Creative Lead Will Galperin, this ad leans into the program's name, utilizing yellow color blocks and objects. Fast-paced, rhythmically-animated type exudes the creative energy Snap wants to inspire in applicants, while forgoing the need for imagery. As an animator, I worked out the order and timing of the graphics with editor Kyle Thompson, as well as figuring out the finer details of how some of the more complex transitions would be animated.
